Paris on Tyra Monday, October 13th

Paris's New CD Features "Tongue-in-Cheek" Songs

Paris has already said that her newest CD is complete and that it will be out very soon.

The upcoming LP, supposedly scheduled for release later this month, will be released on Paris's own label, Heiress Records.

“I was really inspired by Kylie Minogue. I love her; I just love that European dance vibe. The last album was completely hip-hop and this is completely different.”

Her sophomore CD will feature “tongue-in-cheek” songs all written by Paris, including ‘Paris For President’ and ‘Platinum Blonde’, as well as ‘Jailhouse Baby’ – which pokes fun at the time Paris spent in jail in 2007 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

"Fairy Dust" Promotional Ad

For her fifth perfume, called Fairy Dust, Paris dolls up in true Tinkerbell fashion, complete with pixie wand!

The promotional ad features Paris, and sports a playful tagline: "Do you believe in fairy tales?"

Fairy Dust has a top note of sparkling Prosecco accord, pink peony and orange blossom, with a heart of spring gardenia, peach nectar and water lily. The drydown includes sueded patchouli, cashmere musk and vanilla cream.
“The scent is magical! It’s delicate in the morning, sensual during the day and seductive in the evening. When I wear Fairy Dust, I feel as whimsical and free as a dazzling fairy," says Paris.

The perfume will be available in the US from October, and can be purchased as an Eau de Parfum (in either 1.7 oz. or 3.4 oz.) and as a body lotion.

Fairy Dust is scheduled for an international launch in 2009.

Paris Debuts New Single, "My BFF"

Paris Hilton's new single doubles as the theme song for her new reality show, "My New BFF", which airs on MTV every Tuesday at 10pm. 

The single, titled "My BFF", is co-written by Paris and her boyfriend of Good Charlotte fame, Benji Madden. 

The song debuted on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on KIIS FM, where Paris took the time to tell him a little more about her newly finished sophomore CD, stating that it is a "very personal album."

“I just finished my album a couple of days ago. I was really inspired by Kylie Minogue. I wrote every song on the record. My last album was very hip-hop. This is completely different.”

Of the single itself, Paris says, “This song I just wrote about best friends. I think anyone can relate to the song. … It’s a really happy song.”

Paris plans to release the CD on her own independent label, Heiress Records, however a title and release date have not yet been confirmed.

Repo! The Genetic Opera

Paris stars as Amber Sweet in the soon-to-be-released rock musical, Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Repo! is scheduled to hit theaters November 7th.

Paris Working on Second Album

Paris is in the studio working on her sophomore CD. And conveniently enough, the studio she's in is one she added in her own house! I'm sure that makes working on her tracks even more fun. And this time around, Paris is getting some help from rocker-boyfriend Benji. 

Paris told E! News that she and Benji have also collaborated on the theme song for her newest reality show, My New BFF. 

"Benji and I have been working hard on it," says Paris. "He's helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I'll sing it, too."

Paris' debut album dropped in 2006, and her follow-up will hopefully be out later this year.
No date has been released, but Paris has said that her album will be out soon. Between promoting her clothing line, filming her new show for MTV, and being an ever present figure on the magazines and tabloids, how does she find the time? This chic chick knows how to multi-task!

“The songs are just being mixed right now and should be done soon. I've got a recording studio at my house in Los Angeles and so we've been working there every night. It's been fun. Our songs are just happy and fun dance music. It reflects what Benji and I are like together - happy and fun.”

Hopefully the release of her second album won't get pushed back as much as her first, but either way Paris has made it very clear - She is definitely in the process of working on it, and it's something that she wants to do.
